I make and play music because it’s my therapy, my personal way to process emotions, my way to tell stories and sometimes also a form of escapism.
Hearing that my music resonates with you, brings you joy or simply is appreciated by some of you out there gives me a deep personal and artistic validation.
Following me on (some of) my socials will keep you up to date about my latest releases and dj sets and at the same time will send a signal to the algorithms that my music is valuable to you and possibly to more people.
Re-posting and sharing my music or dj sets helps me (and the artists whose music I play) to connect with more like-minded people and kindred spirits.
Liking my music or sets and giving positive feedback in comments is actively showing me my songs and/or dj sets are also connecting with you on a deeper level, and will strengthen my believe that sharing my own music and dj sets is worth doing so.
Buying my music or buying the artist’s music I play is a way of support and respect for our work which is obviously very much appreciated as you probably can imagine how much time, money and effort we are spending on the investment in our equipment, on the development of our production skills and on the creation of our music. Beside of that is asking a small financial compensation a way to hold an honest mirror to myself that tells me if my music is truly resonating with at least some people other then my family and friends. If you want, you can buy my latest music now exclusively on: https://voodoo-ray.bandcamp.com/, the platform that supports independent artists the most by granting them the biggest share of the paid compensations.
However, playing or dancing to my music in a club, on a rave, on a party or on a festival or even in your own living room, is the ultimate way to support me, as that’s where my music is created for … for the dancefloor !
“ If you make music that appeals to the Souls of others, but not your own, then it’s just a Product. If you make music that resonates with your own Soul, and if those who find your music resonates with their own Soul will listen (and dance) to it, then it’s true Art! ”
